Full CleanTV News Transcript (10 minutes): This is a Clean TV Special News Report: Rahm Through: The Leaks of Rahm Emanuel’s Impending Resignation I’m Jerry McGlothlin reporting on Monday, June 21, 2010. Story #1: Today is the first day of summer but it may soon be winter for White House chief of staff (graphic) Rahm Emanuel. According to news leaks, Emanuel is expected to resign within a year or two. But anytime intentional leaks are dropped regarding high level officials, you have to look for the story behind the story. One leaked message is that Rahm Emanuel is simply disenchanted with the ‘idealism’ of Mr. Obama’s other closest advisors that prevents Emanuel’s suggested ‘pragmatic’ policies from being enacted. Another leaked message is that Obama has just received an ‘epiphany’ that Rahm’s style is brash. And another tweak of the leak is that Emanuel simply wants to spend more time with his family. But CleanTV News believes these are merely smokescreens since (graphic) Obama and Emanuel have been ‘joined at the hip’ in Chicago political for years and they know each other well and are comfortable with each other’s styles and ethics, so no newsflash here. (end graphic) No, CleanTV believes the real story for the hints of the impending resignation is that both Rahm and Barack know are extremely concerned over the content of their incriminating conversations that were taped by the FBI and presented as evidence to James Zagel in the criminal fraud trial of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. For the time being Judge Zagel has not allowed all of those sensitive tapes into evidence. But what if the judge were to change his mind? That is what likely keeps Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama up at nights. In numerous news broadcasts CleanTV has been virtually the only network reporting that these taped conversations likely include impeachable offenses, not the least of which was Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama’s involvement with (graphic of Blago and Obama) Rod Blagojevich in the attempted selling of Obama’s former U.S. Senate seat. Clearly Rahm Emanuel was the go-between man between Blagojevich and Obama and perhaps to some degree with other perspective ‘bidders’ interested in ‘buying’ the vacated Senate seat. So don’t be surprised if the leaked story about Rahm Emanuel considering quitting his job as White House Chief of Staff within one to two years ends up being more like one to two months or even only one to two weeks. (end graphic) And if the judge in the Blagojevich case reconsiders and actually allows the Rahm Emanuel’s, and perhaps Barack Obama’s, taped conversations into evidence, Emanuel’s resignation may be in more like one or two days. And if and when this resignation occurs, it will be interesting to see the reason Rahm cites. Will it be the typical political mantra, to “spend more time with his family”? Or will he choose a different diversion to keep the public eyes away from the ‘smoking gun’ evidence sitting in a Chicago courtroom. Perhaps he will get more creative and say (graphic of ballet) he’s quitting to return to his old career in ballet! But then again I suppose that any day in a pink tutu is better than a day in an orange jump suit. (end graphic) ----------- Story #2: Barack Obama had to reassure (graphic) British Prime Minister David Cameron that his strong stance against BP is not driven by any animus toward Great Britain. (end graphic) Why? Because in December of 2008, the London Sunday Times reported that Obama's grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama was tortured by the British when he became involved in a revolt to overthrow the Brits in Kenya. It also goes on to say that Onyango loathed the British. Barack's father (graphic) was also detained for similar reasons, though not to the same extent. The times reported that he too despised the British. Shortly after taking office in 2009, Barack Obama returned a bust of Winston Churchill to the British that was given as a gift, on loan to the United States after 9/11. (end graphic) After the explosion on April 20th that caused the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama has been playing hardball with BP. He has gotten them to agree to create an escrow fund of $20 Billion - with no cap - that will, in effect, be managed by a member of the Obama administration. Most recently, BP chief executive (graphic) Tony Hayward has stepped down to assume a lesser position after being grilled during a congressional hearing. (end graphic) The question with this story is: Who has enough influence over Barack Obama to convince him to aggressively shake down a sovereign foreign nation in typical strong-arm Chicago-style politics? Certainly not the passive ideologues who supposedly surround Obama. Could it possibly be the handiwork of (graphic: EmanuelRahm.jpg) Rahm Emanuel? And if Rahm Emanuel were to resign sooner rather than later, would America see a ‘softer, gentler, less aggressive Barack Obama? (end graphic)Time will tell. ------------- Story 3: White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has found himself at the heart of two percolating scandals involving offers to Senate candidates, (graphic) Joe Sestak and Andrew Romanoff, to drop out of their respective races with established Democratic incumbents. With Sestak, Emanuel extended the offer through Bill Clinton and with Romanoff, Emanuel's Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina dangled jobs to Romanoff via email. (end graphic) Last week, ranking Republican member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, (graphic) made it known that if he becomes chairman - a scenario that would happen if Republicans take the House - he plans to issue subpoenas for all of the White House records on the job offers. (end graphic) Within days of that news, reports about Emanuel leaked plans to quit the top White House post within one to two years. Compounding problems for Emanuel is that the jury in the corruption trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has begun hearing more taped phone conversations between Blagojevich's close associates - his brother Rob and his Chief of Staff, Lon Monk. When the arrest of Blagojevich was made in December of 2008, Emanuel was identified as being the most likely to have had illegal conversations with the former Governor if any were indeed had. All of these scandals share a common theme – ‘pay to play Chicago style politics.’ Blagojevich sought something of value in return for Obama's former Senate seat while Emanuel sought something of value from both Sestak and Romanoff - getting them to drop out of their respective races. So, it appears that soon Rahm is through, and most likely the (graphic) impeachment of Barack Obama will be close behind.
