This is Clean TV Family-friendly news. I’m Jerry McGlothlin reporting what’s happening on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.
-------------------
Story #1: CleanTV reported last week that Barack Obama's popularity was at an all time low in the Rassmussen Reports public opinion survey, but his numbers have sunk so low that even polls of liberal news organizations can no longer bend and twist the polling questions enough to show very positive numbers. Get this: The latest national poll conducted by the New York Times and CBS News asked Americans their opinion on if Barack Obama had a clear plan for creating jobs. (graphic of jobs down) The results? Only 34 percent said yes, while a whopping 66% said no or didn't know. (end graphic) If Obama’s polling numbers continue to sink, we may soon see an increasing number of his former cheerleaders in the news media hopping off the Obama victory parade float like rats off the deck of a sinking ship.

#2: Is Barack Obama's shakedown of BP leading US down that oily, slippery slope to tyranny? Conservative columnist (graphic of black columnist) Thomas Sowell seems to think so. In his latest column Sowell compared Obama's coercion of BP into coughing up $20 billion to tactics used by Adolf Hitler and Vladimer Lenin, who referred to their supports as 'useful idiots' in their plans for conquest. (end graphic)

#3: And you thought the New World Order was just a bad idea that died with Bush 41? Guess again. Now, (graphic) Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has joined Iran’s president and others in a call for that New World Order to be built on the ashes of the old global financial system. Tearing a page from Rahm Emmanuel’s playbook, Medvedev appears incapable of letting this good crisis go to waste, so he’s spearheading efforts to create a new global reserve currency. But this is really nothing new for the Russian leader. Those with a great memory may recall seeing Medvedev unveiling a sample World Currency coin at a meeting of the G-8, last July. (end graphic) It contained, in English, the words “unity in diversity.” Of course, the coin was intended to replace the US dollar.

Story #4: According to NBC television in Chicago, emails have been disclosed that show former Illinois Governor and current Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel traded favors with each other. If revelations like this continue to surface, reports that Emanuel may be resigning from his current job may not just be proven true; it may mean Emanuel will leave earlier. Newly released emails show that Blagojevich, after being the target of a strong Chicago Tribune editorial against him, enlisted the support of Emanuel, who sent a signed a response letter to the Tribune. That was the Quid. The Pro appeared to come within hours. At the time, Emanuel was a congressman who was promised a two million dollar grant for a school in his district. It had been slow in coming. In what was obviously a requested favor in return for a united front against the Tribune in the form of Emanuel's signature, the congressman's staff then asked for the full release of the grant money. Emanuel's effort to speed up distribution of those funds did not succeed. It was not for lack of trying, as the emails show. In hindsight, that may have ended up being a good thing for him - in this particular case. It does however, give the public an inside look into how Chicago style politics works. The ease with which these favors appeared to have been asked for and acted upon very well could implicate Emanuel as more is uncovered during the trial. Stay tuned…

Story #5: This is Faith Michella reporting from the CleanTV Chicago bureau with another bombshell from our investigative reporter, Daniel Zanoza: Just how badly is U.S. Census Bureau Wasting Tax-Payer Money? (graphic) The United States Census Bureau is using a phone bank to contact households who have already returned their 2010 census forms. Some accuse the Census Bureau of wasting taxpayer dollars when letters were sent out in advance informing every U.S. household that they would soon be receiving a census form in the mail. (end graphic) A week later, the forms arrived. A follow-up letter was issued which said by now you should have received your form and sent it back to comply with federal law. Clean TV is now reporting the U.S. Census Bureau is using a phone book system to contact households who already returned their census surveys. "I was shocked," said a central Illinois resident who requested anonymity. "I received a phone call on June 15th from a census worker who was essentially reviewing with me the information I had already mailed in. I am 56 years old and my wife is 57 and this worker was asking me if we had any newborn children since submitting the original document. I questioned why the Census Bureau was wasting taxpayer dollars with such a redundant phone call. I also became concerned that the caller might not have been connected with the Census Bureau because I know of no one who had ever received such a phone call before." The Census worker provided this individual with the toll-free number 866-851-2010 to call to confirm it really was the Census Bureau who was calling and gave an eight digit case number to refer to when calling. "The very next day, June 16th, I received another phone call from a different census worker. I told him I had received a call the previous day and would not answer his questions and promptly hung up. These phone calls were a clear waste of my taxpayer dollars," said the irate central Illinois resident. The Census Bureau has always hired workers to visit households who did not return their surveys and this procedure is still a part of the census taking process. However, Clean TV is not aware of any time in the past when a phone bank system has been used to contact those who have complied with federal law. From April 25th through May 1st, 2010 the U.S. Bureau website http://2010.census.gov/news/releases/jobs/temp-workers.html reported 575,700 temporary workers were employed for the 12 Regional Census Centers which cover the entire U.S. The website does not provide a breakdown of how many of these temporary workers are participating in the phone bank system. Some estimate these phone calls may be costing American taxpayers millions of dollars.

Story #6: Five years ago (graphic) school teacher Emily Morris admitted to raping a 15-year-old boy and spending a year in jail. But now she has been selected as 'Person of Month' by the city of Pelham, Alabama to help with a school fundraiser to fight cancer. We sincerely hope that Ms. Morris had a big heart change and has exhibited great moral character to such a degree that she was selected for this honor. (end graphic) Meanwhile, there is an ongoing and escalating epidemic of female teachers having sex with minor student boys. But is it any wonder when the schools do just about everything they can in their attempts to ban God, prayer and morality from their schools? Too bad because if more school administrators read the bible they would find that scripture teaches that you sow what you reap. So if you sow an apple seed, you get apples but if you sow a thistle seed, don't expect a mango.
