This is CleanTV family-friendly national news on demand. I’m Jerry McGlothlin reporting what’s happening on Tuesday, July13, 2010.

-----------

Story #1: Regardless of what you think about the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, there is something quite disingenuous to the Obama administration ignoring the recent court ruling overriding Obama's ban on offshore drilling. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has just issued what amounts to an override on the override much the way Chicago's Mayor Daley is now attempting to override the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling against the Chicago gun ban. When will politicians get the message that the (graphic of protest) citizens of The United States of America are sick and tired of politicians acting like dictators. Perhaps they will get the message in November. (end graphic)

---------------

Story #2: Yesterday (graphic) Andres Iniesta of Spain scored the last-minute goal giving Spain its first World Cup win. In humility and loyalty, Andres publicly paid tribute to Dani Jarque, a fellow soccer player who had a deadly heart attack in Italy in 2009. And with a quarter billion people of planet earth watching, Andres took off his shirt to reveal an undershirt that read, "Dani Jarque siempre con nosotros," that is translated as, "Dani Jarque always with us." (end graphic)

-------------------

Story #3: And speaking of sports, members of a Muslim terrorist group are suspected in the weekend suicide bombings that killed 64 sports fans in Uganda. Al-Shabab…a radical organization based in Somalia had been threatening attacks on Uganda for supporting the existing, western-backed, Somali government with peacekeeping troops. As the clock counted down on the final moments of the World Cup soccer championship, explosions ripped through a Kampala rugby club and (graphic of outside of restaurant) a restaurant where the contest was being televised. A leader of the terror group did not accept responsibility for the attacks, but he did praise the outcome. (end graphic) One of the dead was reported to be an American aid worker.

--------------------

Story #4: Those who follow the status of Social Security on a regular basis are starting to ask what the Obama administration is hiding. This year’s annual report from the Social Security Board of Trustees is already two months overdue, and there’s no sign of its pending release. Everyone knows that Congress has been (FULL SCREEN graphic of Social Security cartoon) raiding the Social Security trust fund for years, “borrowing” cash to make the budget deficits look more acceptable. (end graphic) But there’s strong suspicion that glaring Medicare cuts are the real reason the true numbers are nowhere in sight. Obamacare slashes doctor and hospital payments and cuts deeply into Medicare Advantage programs, relied on by nearly one quarter of all senior citizens. The Congressional Budget Office admits Obama’s plan will deplete Medicare payments by up to $500 billion during its first ten years in operation. Now it makes sense that Obama would choose a Medicare czar who advocates healthcare rationing, doesn’t it?

----------------------

Story #5: Some of the harshest criticism yet of this administration’s handling of racial issues has been leveled by a black GOP congressional candidate from Florida. (graphic) Allen West, who is seeking to unseat incumbent Democrat Ron Klein in that state’s 22nd district, blasted Obama for the pass his Justice Department gave to members of the New Black Panther Party in a blatant voter tampering scheme. (end graphic) West told the press, “For an Administration that promised a new era in race relations, Obama and the Democrats in Congress have demonstrated that race will continually be exploited for political gain.” West is one of two GOP candidates with legitimate chances to gain congressional seats in the upcoming elections this November.

------------------

Story #6: The Alliance Defense Fund has joined other organizations like the Liberty Institute to support efforts to appeal a federal judge's ruling that the observance of the National Day of Prayer was unconstitutional. Impromptu discussion until end of broadcast.
